Buhari Asked Senate’s Approval of Ojukwu as NHRC Executive Secretary

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari yesterday kept in touch with the Senate, looking for the screening and ensuing affirmation of Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu, as the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC.

Buhari in a letter routed to Senate President Bukola Saraki dated 27th October, was perused yesterday at whole.

The President has however requested for quick thought of the endorsement of the candidate.

The letter read, "As per arrangements of area of the National Human Rights Commission (Amendmemt) Act 2010, I have the delight to show Mr Anthony Okechukwu Ojukwu for affirmation as Executive Secretary National Human Rights Commission by the Senate.

While searching forward for regular speedy thought, consideration, Mr. Senate President, the confirmation of the most elevated regard.

The President had looked for the approval of the Senate for the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
